Alex Mustoe
I am a qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Counselling and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). With a wealth of experience in both private practice and educational settings, I provide a safe, confidential, and nurturing environment for my clients to explore their challenges and work towards healing.
I offer compassionate, professional support for a wide range of difficulties, including, but not limited to, anxiety, trauma, depression, shame, suicidal ideation and emotional dysregulation. My approach is integrative, drawing from various therapeutic methods to tailor each session to the unique needs, goals and circumstances of the individual.
Alongside my private practice, I bring extensive experience from working in schools and colleges, supporting children and young people with neurodiversity, emotionally based school non-attendance (EBSNA), Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and emotional dysregulation rooted in emotional distress. This work has given me a deep understanding of the complex relationship between mental health, development, and educational settings and I am dedicated to helping my clients navigate and overcome their struggles.
Whether you’re seeking support for a specific concern or looking for a safe, non-judgmental space to explore personal challenges, I aim to offer a warm, respectful, and containing therapeutic relationship. I am committed to walking alongside you as you work towards greater emotional wellbeing, resilience and personal growth.
