Integrative Therapist

I’m Ruth, an integrative therapist with a passion for helping adults navigate life’s challenges, from anxiety and depression to grief, loss and trauma. I’m fascinated by what it means to be human and love working with adults from all walks of life.

I work with a range of challenges, including:

Common Mental Health Problems – anxiety, attachment disorders, burn out, depression, loneliness, low self-esteem, neurodevelopmental disorders, self-harm, stress, suicidal ideation.

Grief and Loss – abandonment, bereavement, collective grief, complex and complicated grief, disenfranchised grief, living losses (e.g. divorce, illness, redundancy), sudden and unexpected death, suicide, traumatic grief and loss.

Pregnancy and Baby Loss – baby loss for any reason including abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, Termination for Medical Reasons (TFMR), genetic journeys, infertility, traumatic birth.

Trauma – abuse (emotional, physical, sexual), child neglect, domestic violence, secondary traumatic stress, vicarious trauma.

I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and integrate Person-Centred and Psychodynamic theories in a relational model. My therapeutic practice is trauma-informed. I also hold a Certificate in Counselling Studies, have completed and worked with Cruse's Foundation Course in Bereavement Support, and I am a Mental Health First Aider for aid workers.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their Ethical Framework.

I offer therapy face-to-face in Gloucestershire, serving the Cotswolds, Cirencester, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Painswick, Stroud and Tetbury. I also work across the UK and internationally online, meaning you can access support no matter where you are.
